Garage Sale

There are 2 reasons for this post: 1 - my sister (the number freak) kindly pointed out that if I posted today I would have 1 a day for the month of March and 2 - I was telling my mom and sister about these skirts. Desiree just happened to put this on after her bath today so I wanted them to see it.

Isn't this outfit adorable. $1.00. The skirt has shorts underneath so she can play and not flash everyone. We were on one of our daily walks last Saturday and came across some garage sales. One of them had lots of skirts Desiree's size. So we went home and got some change.

She has been telling me for weeks that she does not have enough skirts. We found 5 skirts and 3 shirts for $4.00. A GREAT deal if you ask me.

Desiree is happy...if I let her she would change her clothes several times a day.

Flowers: Transfer Time

These are the flower sprouts in their small little beds (dirt).
You can tell their stems and roots
are too big for this little bed (dirt).
The flowers in their new bed (dirt) ...much
bigger and more room to grow (hopefully).

Flowers: Week 1

Just to recap....this was last Monday,
March 23rd when we first planted them.

This is today March 30th.

Reading Time

Whether you are by yourself or...

with a friend....

reading time is lots of fun!

Day 6

"All I do is love them, care for them, water them, let
them sleep, and don't wake them up when they are
sleeping. I will care for them and never kill them." ~ Desiree

Day 4 ~ P.M.

If I did not see it with my own eyes I would
not believe they would sprout and change so
much from before nap-time to after nap-time.

Day 4 ~ A.M.

I can't believe how fast these are growing.

Desiree is so excited and checks them every chance she gets.

Plants are just one of God's many miracles.

Countdown

The countdown has begun...Desiree's Birthday!

Then we will have to do a countdown till Kindergarten.
She is so excited she can hardly wait.

1st sprouts

DAY 3

I think I should clarify something... Desiree is the one with the green thumb. Every year at this time we plant flowers, it is a tradition we started last year and she loves it. This year we also added planting flowers outside as well. The ones you see here will be transfered to flower boxes. She loves this time of year...seeing so many flowers blooming. She thinks they bloom especially for her birthday (May 2nd).

Spring Cleaning

It's that time again. The children and I did their rooms and the playroom. The rest is up to me. It sure feels good to purge unwanted items and to have more space.

Pajama Day

My children stayed in their pajamas all day. We had fun staying home, building forts in the living room, watching a movie, reading books, coloring, napping, learning on the computer, etc.... It was nice not to have errands to run or places we need to be for a change.
